I am grateful that the Marlboro Police are protecting our Schools, and I pray for the safety of our community. In an abundance of caution, I requested an enhanced police presence in our Schools in the days following the tragic event. To that end, we continue to have Marlboro Police and School Resource Officers in all of Marlboro Schools - a program that we have had in place since the 2012 Sandy Hook Shooting. There is nothing more important to me than keeping our kids, teachers, and administrators safe in Marlboro Schools. These horrific acts change families and communities forever. As a Mayor, and as a father, events like this are my worst nightmare. Words cannot express the sorrow that I feel for the nineteen children and two teachers that were killed at the elementary school in Uvalde Texas this week.
